yippie...Last night was my first day in the IETLS Prepration Class. I was so excited. 1st day with native speaker. His name is Shane. I don't know about his nationality, but I like his accent :D He is very cheerfull, optimistic, and enthusiastic. The class consists of 8 person, including me, with 2 men and 6 women.
First we introduced each other, than Shane asked for our hopes and fears for this course. So 7 of us (the other one was late), wrote it on a paper that Shane gave to us. Then we learnt how to predict some question for listening comprehension. After that, Shane gave us questions about definition of sentence, verb, tense, paragraph, and topic sentence. While we aswered those questions, He has checked our answers about hopes and fears. Then We discussed it, both about hopes and fears, then about those definitions.
His note is by having IELTS Prepration Class, we wont learning structure or grammar spesificly, because we must be had intermediate level in general english. So, we will learn about how to use those structure or grammar well in writing esp, to take note on the certain part in listening comprehension, to use formal way in speaking, and the strategy to find the correct answer in reading part at less time.
So, we will learn the strategy of getting high score in IELTS test. I can't wait for next meeting. O ya, Shane gave us homework, so we can reach our target on time..
I'll do it tonight, after having dinner.
